Sometimes it’s more interesting to make up a story about a scar than tell the truth, especially if it’s boring. That’s allegedly what famed actor Joaquin Phoenix has been doing regarding the scar between his nose and lip. Reportedly, the Gladiator star, who was born with the scar, blamed the mark on an act of God saying while his mother was pregnant with him, she felt a sharp pain one day, and he was born with a mark on his lip. Phoenix was actually born with a cleft lip and the scar is a result from the corrective surgery.
