When Harris was sworn into the Senate, it was then-Vice President Biden, her future running mate for the White House, who administered the oath. She was sworn in using the same bible that she had with her during the inauguration, which was a bible from her aunt, Regina Shelton. It was held by her husband, Douglas Emhoff. She was all smiles.
