MAFS Recap: Vincent Didn’t Leave Briana With The Best Impression

- By

Briana

Briana called Vincent unorganized and as with any form of criticism, it made him shut down and act like a bit of an a$$hole. Instead of weighing her words and the intention behind them, Vincent lashed out and said that her being “direct and assertive” was not something he wanted in a partner. He took it a step further by saying her family labeling her as “bossy” was a turn off for him.

Briana tells her mother that that is just who she is and she’s not in the business of changing for anyone. She’s right. She shouldn’t change. And I would even argue that Vincent would not want to be with someone who didn’t communicate directly—especially with his own communication issues.

Still, as we’ve seen throughout the season, Briana could stand to learn to compromise. She doesn’t have to change who she is. But she can be a little more flexible and recognize that things won’t always go her way.

During her last dinner with Vince before decision day, she said that she doesn’t ever want to be a turn off to him. It was a sweet sentiment but also a bit unrealistic. For most people, if you’re with someone long enough, something they do will eventually turn you off. And that’s okay.
