Lord, Erik was laying it on thick last night. Homeboy does not want to be left. And he said it outright. He has a fear of being alone. And I think that was the source of his tears. I do think he cares about Virginia but not enough to make any significant changes to his lifestyle. And that is where they’ll always bump heads. It’s fascinating to me that before decision day, he’s suddenly become so much more accommodating in terms of their living situation, when that was a hot button issue for the two of them for weeks. What Virginia says about him is true, it’s hard to determine whether he’s just saying she wants to hear or he’s going to do what he says. I’d put my money on the former and not the latter.
