Deselle-Reid will be missed for her talents, and also her gorgeous smile and bright eyes. She will also, of course, be greatly missed by her children, whom she loves. As we told you, she has two daughters and a stepson, and she sacrificed being in front of the camera to be there for that stepson. It was all worth it, as her son ended up successfully going off to study at Michigan State University.

“For the last four years, I’ve literally been at the house,” she said during an interview in 2016. “He’s my stepson but I met him when he was four, so he doesn’t like for me to say that because he says he doesn’t feel like he’s a part of me. When he started to get bigger I felt like I had to be there. He’s a really handsome boy, he’s smart. And you know boys, with idle time, they just don’t always make it to college. He’s 18 now and just came home for the first semester.”

Natalie Desselle arrives to “Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Big Happy Family” Los Angeles Premiere at The Dome at Arclight Hollywood on April 19, 2011 in Hollywood, California.
