Wright called out The Roots’ Black Thought and Questlove after the death of founding member Malik B.

“Y’all all online talking about respect the family and this and that, but you didn’t respect your brother enough to come get him when he was doing bad,” she said. “Y’all wasn’t trying to help him, y’all was telling people to turn their back on him while calling him a drug addict.”

She also alleged the group helped R. Kelly find young girls.

“Look at R. Kelly. The Roots was around when that n—a was sending his driver around to go get girls from what was the middle school—They brought ’em to the studio. They brought ’em to Larry Gold’s studio and I was told to mind my f—in’ business if I wanted to keep my career,” she said. “A member of The Roots told me that, ‘That ain’t none of your business. That man makes people millionaires.'”
