Fellow Philly singer Jill Scott did have some words for her former friend. It started when Wright alleged that Scott slept around in the past. She also said that she only became friends with Erykah Badu, whom she allegedly once really disliked due to Badu getting to sing the The Roots’ “You Got Me,” which she co-wrote, because they both burned too many bridges and they’re the only ones left at the ends.
Scott responded by posting a meme that read, “The lion doesn’t turn around when the small dog barks.”
