Again, if work-life balance is important to you at this stage in your life, see if your company offers flexible hours. If you know that you will get your work done, on time, even if you don’t stick to the traditional 9 to 5 hours, and your company is willing to let you work on your time, that can mean that you can be at your kid’s soccer game. Or you can take your kid to his doctor’s appointment, instead of paying a nanny to do it. It can mean being home for dinner or breakfast with the family.
