“I love black women because my first experience of love was through a black woman. The love my mother showed me was a love she showed any and everyone including my father. Whether or not they were deserving of it , that did not stop her from loving wholly and fully despite the tolls of life. That is only a strength and love that can come from a black woman. I’ve pledged my love to black women ever since.”
