“I love that black women can relate and understand me as a black man better than anyone else. As I’ve grown in my own relationship one of the things ive come to value is just how precious that shared perspective can be. Having someone beside me who sees the world through a similar lense is invaluable as we both try to navigate life together. On top of the shared perspective, I love the way that black women find a way to not only show up but to show out and make their presence felt in every arena that they step into. For every corporate environment I’ve worked in I can think of at least one black woman who was unabashedly herself and who inspired me to do the same. And many times, opened doors and helped me make connections to do so. Last but definitely not least, black women are easily the most beautiful women in the world. Tall or short, light or dark, or any other differentiator in-between, black women are nothing short of art personified and I’m grateful to have been surrounded by them for my entire life.”
