“You’re My Everything”: 10 Celebrity Men Who Are Their Wives’ Biggest Fans
Yesterday we told you that LeBron James showed love and support to his wife Savannah on Instagram, letting her know that she “looks damn good” at any size, despite her current desire to lose a few pounds. But that’s not the first time LeBron praised his wife publicly.
“Been down with me before day 1 of this journey and appreciative [sic] you more than life itself,” he wrote on their third anniversary. “Could not have picked a better side kick to fight crime with. You’re my everything and above! A [sic] unbelievable mother, daughter, granddaughter, friend, and wife! Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Love you mama!!”
With so many athletes out here cheating and saving their PDA for when their marriages are in the dumps, it’s nice to see men celebrate their partners just because. Take a look at nine other men who have no problem gushing over their gals.
According to his wife, actress Jessica Biel, the blue-eyed soul singer supports her like no other. This was evident in the way he stanned for her work on her new USA show, The Sinner, telling his followers the show is “amazing” and she’s “incredible in the role.”
“With Justin, he’s so happy for me,” Beil said to ELLE. “I always say he’s my biggest fan.”
He’s taken out her weave, celebrated all of her TV and culinary endeavors and rooted for Ayesha just as much as she roots for him. He proved that when he had her back after she was criticized for comments made about women who dress provocatively. As he told a reporter after the drama, people “care about what she says. You have to be true to self & she’s best at that.”
Barack and Michelle Obama have that type of love that you, even as the outsider, can’t help but swoon over. It’s hard not to when the former POTUS says about Michelle, “For the past 25 years, you’ve not only been my wife and the mother of my children, you’ve been my best friend. You took on a role you didn’t ask for and you made it your own with grace, grit and style.”
Sterling K. Brown
Everyone, when they have a speech at least, remembers to thank their significant other when they win an award. When the This Is Us star won an Emmy for his work on The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, Brown put his lady on a pedestal using a Jay Z lyric. “And contrary to popular belief, I got the hottest chick in the game rocking my chain,” Brown said. “Ryan Michelle Bathe, you make this whole thing go. I love you. Thank you.”
The great thing about Russell Wilson is that even when other people, including rapper Future, are saying less than pleasant things about Ciara, he doesn’t respond with negativity. Instead, the NFL star focuses on showering his wife with praise. It’s also adorable that he celebrates her as a mother to Future Zahir.
“He gets the purest and the sweetest love from you and to watch you be the woman and mom you are ALL the time,” he wrote on Instagram for baby Future’s second birthday. “Every morning. Every night. Every day… No matter what the circumstances or situation… good or bad… brings me so much joy & most importantly him. He is so blessed to have you hold him and hug him and love him with so much pure and real love that he will have no limits to what God has in store for him.”
“You both bring me pure joy and I can’t wait to see him grow more and more into the loving, caring, kind-hearted man that he will be…2 years old!” Wilson added. “Wow. God is good!”
Don’t you ever try and come for Meagan Good, because DeVon Franklin will NOT allow it — in Jesus’ name.
When a woman tried to criticize her about the type of attire she wears during a stop on the couples’ The Wait book tour, he shut all that negativity down.
“She’s not gonna cover up,” he said. “She is gonna wear what she wants to wear in the name of Jesus, amen.”
“God bless you, we love you,” Franklin continued. “I love you dearly, but she has been as Christian as she is right now. She wore whatever she wanted to wear. So no, we ain’t doing that. Y’all about to see another DeVon that y’all ain’t never seen! Remember, I’m from Oakland now.”
Niecy Nash’s husband Jay Tucker is such a rider for his wife that he is ready to fight for her, if necessary. Like that time people were too aggressive while trying to take a picture with her and Tucker had to set the men straight.
“These two guys come up and they’re like ‘Hey, we wanna get a picture’ and they start jostling me around … they were so inappropriate and aggressive,” she told Conan O’Brien. “And my husband walks up and he goes, ‘Hey, What’s going on?’ And the guy goes, ‘Calm down brotha — we just trying to get a picture.’ He said, ‘I’m not yo damn brotha. That’s my wife. Get your hands off my damn wife.'”
“And I said, ‘Oh my God. If you fight right now, you are definitely getting some when I get home,'” Nash added. “I just like that he was so aggressive and it was two of them and he still was willing to protect me…”
When receiving the NBA’s Most Valuable Player award, a large chunk of Russell Westbrook’s speech was about his wife, Nina.
“As a wife in this league, to be able to have sacrificed some of the things you’ve sacrificed and everything that you do, I can’t put it in words and describe how thankful I am to have you in my life,” Westbrook said. “You’ve blessed me with a beautiful son that I’m so thankful for. You continue to make me go. Every time I come home, regardless of good or bad game, every time I see your face, your smile does nothing but brighten me up. I just want to say I love you and I thank you for everything you’ve done for me thus far. You’re the best wife a husband like me could ask for and I love you, Sugar. Love you very much.”
