Rachel Roy Was Raised Seventh-Day Adventist
Roy was not only raised Seventh-Day Adventist, but she also went to a Seventh-Day Adventist elementary school. Her father was particularly strict, as she recalled in an Elle profile from 2009, but said it made her a better person:
“I’m thankful I grew up the way I did,” she says. “It made me a hard worker and insightful to other people’s lives.”
