Drake has called his mother, Sandi Graham, “the most important person in my life.” And he credits everything he’s accomplished to her efforts and struggles after his father left: “I had to become a man very quickly and be the backbone for a woman who I love with all my heart, my mother.”
He even gave her the Best Rap Album Grammy he won for Take Care in February 2013, saying, “It’s in her kitchen now. One day she’s going to put some shelves up in her house and start displaying some stuff.”
