When deciding whether a relationship should be taken to a physical level, it is important to consider if you’re having sex for the right reasons and if you and your partner are on the same page about what a sexual relationship should entail. Sex never makes anything easier, but many difficult situations can be avoided through direct and honest communication. Have realistic expectations and understand that sex doesn’t guarantee a commitment or emotional attachment.
