A relationship is all about reciprocity and coming together to make decisions that are best for both parties involved. This also includes finances, but as more women become independent and are capable of handling their financial obligations on their own, it brings up a question of what –or how much– a man should contribute to the relationship financially.

Each relationship/household operates within its own set of rules; however, there are certain things your man shouldn’t have a problem helping you with financially, regardless of how capable you are. Check out our list and let us know if you have some others you would add.

Vacations

There are vacations and then there are “baecations,” which are all about you and your bae spending some quality time in a different location, preferably somewhere tropical where the romance is at an all-time high.

This means that your man should have absolutely no problem contributing monetarily to a vacation that benefits both of you. Whether he chooses to pay for the entire trip or go half with you, paying for a vacation that the both of you want and will remember forever should be a no-brainer.
