Denzel Washington got his start in television before switching over to the silver screen. Soon becoming one of the most talented actors in Hollywood, Washington married wife Pauletta back in 1983 after meeting on the set of the television movie Wilma and she has been by his side ever since. While rumors have floated around of his infidelity, Washington and his wife have remained together for over thirty years, not an easy feat in Hollywood. In an interview with Ebony magazine, the couple said overcoming trying times has strengthened their marriage. “For me, the ‘love’ in the love story is how you come through the trials,” said Pauletta. “The passion, the lust — that’s easy. The love story is how you come out in love after hardship.”
