Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon were one of Hollywood’s most stable and politically active couples. Although they never tied the knot, the duo was together for more than two decades and had two children together. But towards the end of 2009, Robbins had re-evaluated everything in his life and determined that it was time to make a change, including his relationship status. “A midlife crisis – I think we all go through something, it’s inevitable, it’s unavoidable. You’re staring some kind of frightening thing down. It’s when you pass 40, inherently we double our age when we think about life.” Taking a break from acting, Robbins decided to put his feelings into songs for an album that has yet to be released.
