Why Did I Get Married? (2007)
Why Did I Get Married? was awesome if you ask me. Though some complain about the annoying, loud nature of Tasha Smith’s character, Angela, we all know there are women who thrive on nagging their men. Before Jill Scott went on to act in HBO’s “The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency,” Why Did I Get Married? was the first time we saw her tap into the range of emotions that are always present in her music. There were moments when we said “that would never happen,” (like who makes their wife drive up a mountain while they fly?!) but the story was so entertaining we let it slide.
