Lisa Bonet felt disrespected by Bill Cosby and the producers of the show. Lisa was fired from The Cosby Show twice. She clashed with Cosby on set, often creating a tense environment for the younger Cosby kids. She was fired in 1987 after her steamy role alongside Mickey Rourke in Angel Heart, where she filmed graphic sex scenes. She also did a nude magazine photo shoot. These images were not cohesive with the good, oatmeal-wholesome morals that The Cosby Show portrayed. She fought back, threatening legal action against Cosby and the producers. To appease the actress, she got her own spinoff-A Different World. After her pregnancy, she was removed from the show due to unprofessional behavior. They brought her back to The Cosby Show, but her attitude and behavior worsened, so she was let go permanently. She wasn’t even invited back to finish out the season finale.
