An author, journalist, motivational speaker and Doctor of Dental Surgery, “Dr. Moe”, as she’s called affectionately is known as one of the most successful black journalists and dentists in Texas. In an effort to strengthen blacks in her hometown, Dr. Moe founded the Austin Black Newcomers Association to encourage community service and engagement for new Austin residents.
