Strap Up: Peep This Beginner’s Guide To Pegging
Pegging Equipment Shopping List
There are a few basic things you’ll need to get started:
- A harness
- A dildo
- Lubricant
Beyond that, there are two main types of harnesses: underwear-style and strap-on-style. The former resembles underwear and the latter resembles a jockstrap.
You can also choose to buy your harness and dildo separately, or you can buy a combination that already contains both parts. The upside of buying them separately is that the pegger can choose the harness that’s most comfortable for them while the receiver can select the dildo that feels best for them. The upside of choosing a combo, especially if you’re new to pegging, is simply that there’s less to do to get started.
You’ll want to use a medical-grade silicone dildo, with water-based lube (ironically silicone-based lubricant does not work well with silicone sex toys).
As a beginner’s tip, get a small dildo to get started. You’ll probably want one that’s even smaller than you’d expect. You can always upgrade to larger ones when the receiver is ready.
