Throw out: stained/tattered towels

Used towels are, unfortunately, not really something most donation centers are looking for. And towels that have loose strands, frayed edges, holes, and/or stains have a similar effect on you as tattered clothes: they make you feel that you’re not worth the good stuff, which is a lie. So throw those out and replace them with fresh sets. Walking into a bathroom with fluffy, clean, new, matching towel sets – bath, face, and hand – makes you feel like you have your life together. As for caring for your towels, The Cleaning Institute recommends washing them after every three to five uses.
