Clara and Ryan

These two are getting along far better than I thought they would. Although Clara is clearly the more talkative one in the relationship, Ryan doesn’t seem to mind what she has to say. That’s a good sign. He seemed happy for the fact that there hadn’t been awkward silences between the two of them.

But Clara is not just talking to her herself talk–she’s also asking questions that need answers. She wondered if Ryan wanted to raise his children in the church. He said yes and that gave her pause because she doesn’t want religion forced on her children like it was forced on her. Valid point.

There’s a way to introduce your children to church without forcing it one them. When they’re old enough, you can let them decide why they do or don’t want to be a part anymore. While Ryan’s parents seem very churchy, he doesn’t strike me as fanatical. I think they’ll be able to find a compromise.

Though they haven’t lived together yet, Clara seems sure that Ryan is not ready to live with anyone because he’s never done it before and, from past experience, she knows how taxing it can be to bring someone new into your space.

We’ll see.
