You might even be helping him do his job, and yet you’re bringing home less.” Even though these experiences can be disheartening, Dr. Scott urges, “Be confident in where you stand and what you bring to the table.” Dr. Scott noted that both the gender pay gap and the racial wealth gap have worsened during the current COVID-19 pandemic meaning Black women specifically may be getting hurt the worst financially right now.
