We wouldn’t have given them Will and Jada or Denzel and Pauletta status necessarily, but I think we would all agree that Cam’ron and JuJu were a nice couple. They were laid back, supportive of one another, and seemed like they genuinely enjoyed one another’s company at all times. So when it became clear that they had called it quits, we were shocked. And when Cam’ron shared the supposed reason, our shock turned into confusion.

“For me, it just wasn’t fun anymore,” he said on The Breakfast Club. “I met JuJu in 2002, she was my friend before we started being serious. That was my homegirl and everything was fun. But for me, once Instagram came out, I’m the one promoting her on Instagram, marketing her, showing her body, showing people how beautiful she is, saying look, I got a gorgeous woman, without being too distasteful about it—but basically, it stopped being fun.”

But of course, there are two sides to every story. As it turns out, Juju wasn’t too pleased with Cam’ron’s comments about a relationship that lasted a decade and a friendship that had been strong for 15 years. So she visited The Breakfast Club herself and cleared the air, and it sounds like he just wasn’t a fan of her making moves and growing without him. What she shared was quite the eye-opener in terms of the type of relationship they had, and explained why at this point, she says they are never getting back together.

On Cam’ron Saying Their Relationship Was No Longer “Fun”

“That was really hurtful to me because Cam and I, we were really good friends,” she said. “He said it wasn’t fun for him anymore and that I was concerned about what was going on on Instagram and who he was following. And that’s not true. I  basically was more concerned about a respect level, you know what I mean? There’s d–k picks up and down my Instagram as well, and I didn’t like them out of respect. You’re in a relationship. If somebody has their coochie out or their booty out and you’re liking the pic, they’re like ‘Cam just liked my pic.’ Slide in the DM type sh-t. My thing was, don’t do what I don’t do to you. Respect me. There’s d–k pics that fly up and down my Instagram as well and I can like them as well, but out of respect for you, I don’t do that. So I just wanted the same respect. I don’t want to wake up, look at Instagram, and you’re at a game with somebody talking about ‘Me and my friend.’ If that’s your friend, I don’t have a problem with it. I don’t have a problem with you having female friends, but there has to be a respect level. Tell me, ‘Hey, babe, I’m going to the game.’ Why do I have to see it on Instagram? It’s not ‘because of Instagram.’ It’s because of the things you were doing concerning Instagram and you didn’t respect my feelings.”
