Mariah Carey And Nick Cannon Celebrate Fifth Wedding Anniversary With Another Vow Renewal Ceremony
Mariah Carey seems to be taking the Jackie Christie approach when it comes to celebrating her wedding anniversaries. For the past four years MiMi has celebrated her marriage to actor and comedian Nick Cannon with vow renewal ceremonies and this year is no different. The 43-year-old New York native took to her Twitter page to offer her Lambs an official play-by-play of her beautiful fairy tale-themed vow renewal ceremony at Disney Land.
The singer also revealed that she and her hubby would celebrating the twins’ 2nd birthday during their time at Disney Land, which according to Entertainment Tonight took place at the newly opened Fantasy Faire section of the amusement park just before the ceremony.
ET also reports that The Royal Footman from Cinderella stood in as the Master of Ceremonies and escorted the couple’s 250 guests to Fantasyland, which is where the reception following the ceremony took place. We also hear that Nick DJ’d the party. Insiders say the reception area was adorned with 15,000 flowers imported from Holland, South Africa and France. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Crystal Carriage picked up the love birds and whisked them back to the Dream Suite.
Talk about over the top!

‘I Felt Like I Had A Chance’: J.Cole Talks Being An Alicia Keys Stan And Waiting For Her After One Of Her Shows At 14

Source: WENN
You’re not the only person who was out here putting the poster of a celebrity crush on your wall back in the day. Some of the celebrities we jam to today have been open about the fact that they were doing the same thing at one time, and maybe even a little bit more. Just ask rapper J. Cole.
During an interview with The Fat Jew for The Crosby Press, the very cute MC was asked about the women he encounters at his shows, and instead of bragging or telling a sordid groupie tale like most rappers, he threw himself under the bus–in a comical way. He opened up about his own past being a fanatic for no other than Alicia Keys, which is why he can’t even hate on the women who go hard trying to meet and mess with celebs after shows:
“You know what? I have fanatic tendencies in me too. Alicia Keys, I one time…this is going to be crazy. When I was like 14, Alicia Keys just came out. I was in love with her. You can ask my mom, she’ll tell you. Super duper crush on Alicia Keys. There were a few of these in my life. Mariah Carey was one when I was real young. Alicia Keys when I was a little older. I felt like I had a chance. So I’m at this Alicia Keys concert with my cousin in Dallas, I’m 14 mind you…needing Alicia Keys. She does her set. They had a bunch of other people performing. She ends her performance and I tell my cousin, ‘Yo, there’s only one place she can go. She gotta leave from the back.’ So I convinced my cousin to go the back, so now the same things girls are doing to me in the shows, I was that guy. ”
“So you see a young Jermaine Cole, trying to be smooth. I don’t even speak cause I think she’s just going to see me. Nothing. I’m behind the gate, and she just got in her car and went. But the way I thought it was going to go was she was going to be like ‘You! [points] 14-year-old boy!’ So, I say all that to say, there’s nothing really weird to me that a fan can do. … I get it.” I was 14, [but in my head] it was going to be perfect [laughs].”
Big laugh at him thinking he was really going to meet her outside and get play. But that’s pubescent teenagers for you.

Oh NO You Didn’t: Reports Say “American Idol” Tried To Replace Mariah Carey With Former Judge Jennifer Lopez Mid-Season

For American Idol, the struggle continues.
Word on the street is…aka, according to The Hollywood Reporter, in an effort to salvage a season that saw ratings hit their lowest ever, producers of the show were hoping to replace Mariah Carey with former judge Jennifer Lopez just some weeks ago. Mimi and her people were able to shut down the possible swap out by threatening legal action against the show, and the possibility of that forced producers to back down from their supposed-to-be-secret plans. But the head of reality shows for FOX, Mike Darnell, was allegedly so worried about the dip in ratings this season that he was hoping a surprise change in judges would pull viewers in. Lopez is planning to show up on the show’s season finale in May, but it’s not clear if she will just be performing, helping with the contestants, or what. But Lopez was a popular judge during her tenure on the show (2011-12), so I’m sure they’re excited to get her back if even for a hot second.
However, Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe, who is a judge on the FOX show, So You Think You Can Dance?, denies such reports or rumors saying, “I have not been included in any conversation regarding replacing Mariah with Jen this season.”
Either way, The Hollywood Reporter says that their sources are confirming that there will be another judge shake-up when this season is over: “…insiders say a search already has begun to replace Carey, most likely Nicki Minaj and possibly the entire judge’s panel for next season.”
Yikes, it sounds like whether or not Mariah leaves mid-season or after the season, she’s probably going to get the boot. As someone who has watched the show from time to time, I can say that honestly, as talented and legendary as Mariah Carey is, she’s NOT a good judge. At all. For all the personality it seems she has, it doesn’t show up on camera, she’s too too kind, and some of her comments come off as side-eye worthy. But do people need to try and replace folks behind their backs? No. A good warning would probably do wonders. And trying to replace an icon with Lopez? That’s just disrespectful and a sign that the show really is not about contestants anymore or legends in the music industry giving good feedback. But the whole judges panel is just awkward for me, and if I would vote to keep anybody, surprisingly, it would be Keith Urban. The rest are too boring or too aggressive. But I just feel that changing judges for the umpteenth time in the last few years is NOT going to help increase Idol‘s ratings. How about you?
Bow Down Or Bow Out? Diss Songs That Caused Dumb Drama
When artists have beef with each other, the easiest way to let the other person know what’s up is to put it in a song. Many of the rappers and singers who made this list have been known to cause controversy and have no problem speaking their mind. Let’s take a look at some of the most memorable and funny beefs in hip hop.

I know what you’re thinking? Punk rock and “Adorn” though??? While it doesn’t sound like a match made in heaven, Miguel made it HOT while being the guest performer on Saturday Night Live this past weekend (hosted by Vince Vaughn). The crooner took to the stage with his wavy pompadour, leopard tank and white microphone to remix two of the best songs on his must-play album, Kaleidoscope. With a white hot guitar player and band backing him, he still managed to make “Adorn” soulful and sexalicious while giving it a new sound. And during “How Many Drinks?” during the breakdown, he turned up the energy and started jumping around the stage for a true punk rendition of the song, before bringing it back to its sensual side and slaying all the ladies with those high notes. He even slayed Mariah Carey, who took to her Twitter to let the world know that “R&B is alive” and well thanks to Miguel, and that his performance was a slam dunk.
I’m not all that surprised by Miguel’s unique alternative take to his jams, especially since he’s made it clear in the past that he’s actually more of a fan of rock (“Honestly, I don’t really listen to R&B music. I’m much more into lots of rock’n'roll”), so while it took a little bit for me to adjust to what I was seeing and hearing on Saturday, he definitely killed it in the end. Check out both performances and let us know what you think!

We Got The Right Ones Baby! 10 Of The Best Musical Pepsi Commercials
So after Pepsi’s latest commercial dropped with Beyonce, I happened to overhear a coworker exclaim, “that was the best commercial I’ve ever seen.” Umm, it was a good commercial and all — great maybe — but the best? I wasn’t so sure. So, I had to dip back into my Pepsi inventory and recall some of the cola brand’s spokespersons over the years and after checking out a few videos, I have to say there have been a lot of commercials that could give this latest a run for its money — not that this is a competition or anything. But Pepsi has had some excellent commercials over the years. Here are 10 of the best.
New Faces On This Season Of “The Voice” Help Increase Ratings Big Time; Why Not The Same Results For “American Idol”?

Just last week The Voice premiered, and like many reality show singing competitions out there, they had new faces on the judging panel with Usher taking over for Cee-Lo and Shakira taking the chair from Christina Aguilera for the time being. So far, Usher seems to be off to a good start on the show. He fits in with the banter the judges always engage in and many of the contestants find themselves under his spell and on his team with his bribes of the chance to meet Justin Bieber and straightforward pleas about their talents as opposed to why it would be so cool for them to be on his team. Shakira also holds her own well and doesn’t seem thirsty to turn her chair for every decent voice she hears. All in all, it seems they fit in nicely, and fans agree. The premiere of The Voice was a big winner ratings wise, increasing in viewership by 12 percent compared to last year’s season premiere, bringing in more than 13 million viewers.
This is happening while over on Fox, American Idol ratings continue to decrease to an all-time low, as the show did last Thursday when it only eeked out 11 million viewers. So why are the new faces on The Voice working well for ratings but the same can’t be said for Idol?
Honestly, The Voice ratings could dip just like Idol‘s have as the show continues. However, checking out reactions from different sites like E! and more, it seems that people actually seem to find Usher and Shakira very entertaining, maybe even more so than Cee-Lo and Aguilera, who are allegedly supposed to return to the series next season. But I think a fresh face is needed from time to time just to make people tune in. Yet at the same time, people will tune out if the new face isn’t necessarily a positive change. Many commented on The Voice premiere saying that Shakira and Usher seemed to have their egos in check, while we know from these last few months of American Idol that Nicki and Mariah were caught up in an ego-driven cat fight for a while there. The show has basically been based around the new judges over the contestants and the drama they may or may not have going on. It’s tired.
I tune into both shows and I can say that I like the Usher I see (his character has been in question since all that custody battle drama, but when he’s focused on music, he’s gets a boost), Nicki isn’t bad at judging, and Mariah is actually coming off a little stale in the judge’s seat for me. Keep it positive and about the talent of the contestants, and people seem to want to come back. All in all, reality show talent competitions are a dime a dozen these days, so for both of these juggernauts to keep their ratings on the up and up, I have a feeling they will need more than just new judges.
What do you think of the new season of The Voice so far? What about the new season of Idol?
Nicki Minaj Says So Far She’s Been A “Spectacular” Judge on “Idol” And Talks Being The “Honest” One On The Panel

Source: WENN
Just a few months ago, people were either loving or absolutely loathing the news that Nicki Minaj would be a judge on American Idol alongside Mariah Carey, Randy Jackson and Keith Urban. The pressure was on her big time, and things only got worse when it was made public that the rapper and Carey had been going at it behind-the-scenes. But as the new season has started, Nicki Minaj is very pleased with her performance as a judge, despite not knowing what to expect and not being a singer.
According to Miss Jia, in a press conference call, when asked what her worst Idol moment had been so far, she said had not a one. She had a pat-myself-on-the-back moment when speaking on her work:
“My best and worst Idol moments? I don’t have a worst Idol moment. I’ve been spectacular. Yes, I am going to toot my own horn. And then my best moment is every single moment. I’ll toot it again!
“I didn’t know what to expect going in to the show. I was so nervous. I had a lot of anxiety. I felt like, ‘Okay, I know everybody’s just going to hate me. There were moments in the audition process that I would say to the producers, ‘I can’t do this anymore. If everyone is going to give a good critique and I’m going to be the only one being honest, then America is going to hate me. I’m going to be seen as mean.’ And the producers said, ‘Nicki, trust us, America is going to appreciate the honesty.’ And that’s all I had to go on.”

After Being Verbally Attacked By Fans, Kelly Price Denies Throwing Twitter Shade At Mariah Carey
Yesterday songstress and new cast member to TV One’s R&B Divas: LA, Kelly Price took to her Twitter page to express her disappointment in an unnamed singer’s non-existant vocal abilities.
While Kelly never mentioned actual names, followers were quick to assume that she was referring to Mariah Carey, who was scheduled to perform on television that night. Ironically, Kelly sang background vocals for MC for over six years, prior to her solo album debut. Mimi’s “lambs” wasted no time attacking Kelly for her statement and we all know that stans can be downright mean, especially when they’re able to conveniently hide behind the internet and 140 character phrases. They attacked Kelly about everything from her weight to the current status of her career. Judging by hertweets, their harsh words caught her completely off-guard.
She eventually discovered that someone had altered her original tweet, adding in Mariah’s name, which is what actually caused the mayhem.
Well, that’s settled. What “singer” do you guys think Kelly was referring to? Is she innocent or were fans on the money when they called her out on the Mariah shade?
