If you didn’t realize Nene Leakes’ new spin-off show “I Dream of Nene” was going to be a reality TV wedding spectacle, let me warn you now that it is going to be more turnt up than you ever could have thought it would be — namely because of who Nene’s bridesmaids will be. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a “Real Housewives of Atlanta” meets “Basketball Wives Miami” meets “Basketball Wives LA” kind of show? Well this is it.

On Twitter, Nene just shouted out her bridesmaids and among her regular every day gal pals are some interesting characters: Marlo Hampton, Cynthia Bailey, Jennifer Williams, and Laura Govan.

That’s a lot. We’ve seen more than a few shots of Nene and Laura and Nene and Jen out and about in LA over the past year or so, but who knew they were this close? Or are they? And if I’m not mistaken, Nene and Marlo just met during taping of season 4 of the show. Now she’s going to be in her bridal party? In the past, Nene has talked about putting her friends on when it comes to being on RHOA and it sounds like she’s doing the same with her own spin-off because all of these women should be counting their lucky stars for another crack at reality TV — considering they’ve all pretty much been ousted from their original shows.

I’m just wondering if fans are ready for all this energy in one place. What do you think?

Jennifer Williams hasn’t exactly disappeared since opting not to return for the fifth season of “Basketball Wives” in Miami. She’s still seen out and about at virtually ever reality TV red carpet event in NYC, but one place we haven’t been seeing her is on the television — yet.

While the ex-wife of Eric Williams attended the screening for VH1′s new series, “The Gossip Game,” Jennifer let on that she’s working on a spin-off reality show of her own and since we already know how the Viacom network gets down, you should know this project has Mona Scott-Young’s name all over it.

According to VH1′s blog:

“It came as a shock to many when word got out that Jenn wouldn’t return to the fifth season of Basketball Wives. Arguably the only “real” Basketball Wife, many revered Jenn for her class and maturity on screen. When asked about her departure she simply stated, “It wasn’t for me anymore.” But does that mean she’s over television, too? Lucky for us, Jenn revealed she’s in talks with Scott-Young to create a reality show of her own, embodying the philosophy that when one door closes, another surely opens. A glimpse into her new business ventures with Lucid Cosmetics, or her relationship with new boo Cisco Rosado (who happens to be the founder of CMG entertainment) could work, especially if we see another side of Jenn– the “real” her, and we aren’t talking about Drake songs.”

This doesn’t come as a total shock as Jenn obviously loves the spotlight, and VH1 is known for trying to milk every last ounce of juice they can out of their reality TV cohorts. What would be surprising though, and I hate to say it, would be Jenn’s ability to carry a show by herself. Among the hyper personalities of the women on BBW, her chill demeanor is a welcome presence, but on her own I can see her coming off as very…boring — unless there’s some drama to be seen between her and her man. And, personally, I wouldn’t wish that on them because too many reality relationships have gone by the wayside as a result of these types of television shows.

Despite the lack of a clear vision for the new series — or a premiere date — one thing we do know is the show will not have a storyline about Jenn reuniting with her long lost buddy Evelyn Lozada. According to VH1:

“[F]or those of you who are wondering if Jenn and her former costar, Evelyn Lozada, ever became friends again… Jenn uttered not a single word when asked about their onscreen quarrel. But there was a look! And that look read “Hell to the no.”

Former Basketball Wives star, Jennifer Williams has been through a lot with her estranged husband Eric Williams. While their seemingly never-ending divorce continues to drag on and on, Jen appears to have closed that chapter of her life. Earlier this year we told you that Jennifer had finally gone public with her relationship with music industry exec. Cisco Rosado. Now in the form of a blog post,  she’s opening up about how the public break-up with her soon-to-be ex-husband, Eric impacted her emotionally and one of the mistakes she made when trying to get past it. Her post in its entirety reads:

“Hey Lucid Lovers!

So someone asked me to write about love. Whoa! I thought to myself, this is going to be interesting! LOL! Anyway, I got to thinking about my love life and the journey it has taken me on.  This advice I am going to blog about might be right for you, but it might be wrong for you. All I can do is be honest and hope it helps or at minimum you take something away from it.

When I first started going through my divorce, my initial reaction was I need to date someone.  That rebound guy, someone to distract me from my real feelings.  When I got that, I realized it was a temporary fulfillment. What I really needed was to heal my soul and my heart so I could genuinely be open to honestly and whole-heartedly truly loving again.

Love can be the must amazing feeling in the world and the most hurtful as well. It truly is a funny thing! I feel the key to finding love is to be happy with you first. Make sure you are at a place in your life where you are content and your heart is open to love.  Love requires work and compromise.  I also feel like when you least expect it, love will knock you over.  Focus on yourself; work, family, friends and whatever else makes you happy and when God feels you are ready he will bring you the perfect companion.

Trust is a huge component of making a relationship work. It is vital not to bring your past experiences of a bad relationship into your present relationship.  Everyone deserves a fair chance until they do something to make you give them the side eye.  Ladies, you know what that means without me going into detail.

Talk, talk and more talk!  Communication is key to a thriving, loving, healthy relationship. Nowadays everyone gets caught up in texting. A relationship cannot survive when a “new message” alert is your lifeline. Pick up the phone and listen to each other’s voice. You cannot feel true emotion through a text and things can be taken out of context. Even when you are in a long distance relationship try and find time to Skype or Face time if your mate is not in the country.  I am an advocate for long distance relationships. Absence makes the heart grow fonder and when you see the person you don’t take them for granted.

The important thing about love is to be honest and keep it fresh.  Don’t fall into a routine.  Surprises are always nice and they let your mate know they are appreciated maybe a love letter, a bubble bath or some home-baked cookies.  Just a little something to put a smile on their face!

And ladies remember how you got him is how you keep him! So with the flowers soon blooming, I hope you all SPRING in love..

Her role as one of the stars VH1 reality show, Basketball Wives may be a thing of the past, but it appears that Jennifer Williams never stops working! You probably already know about her fabulous lip gloss line produced by Lucid Cosmetics, not to mention the fact that she’s a principal owner of über popular women’s fitness studio, Flirty Girl Fitness. And now, we’re happy to report that the New Jersey native can add spokesmodel to her resumé, as it was announced yesterday that she is the new face of Ampro’s Shine ‘n Jam product line.

This is a great look for Jen, who appears to be totally thrilled about her latest venture.

Former “Basketball Wives” star Jennifer Williams has been hinting around the fact that she has a new man for months. Her cryptic subtweets have sent social media lurkers in a complete frenzy as they’ve tried to piece together clues to figure out who her mystery man could be. At one point, the public was convinced that her new man was R&B singer, Maxwell, as the two seemed to be spending a substantial amount of time together and photos began to surface. Nosy folks like us thought we were onto something until Jen matter-of-factly informed everyone via her Twitter page that she was not dating Maxwell and proceeded to joke that these rumors and speculations were going to get her in trouble with her real man.

Jamie Foster Brown of Sister 2 Sister recently caught up with Jennifer at an event and homegirl was not alone. She was with her new man, who happens to be Cisco Rosado of CMG Entertainment. Jamie, who insists that Cisco is already in love with Jennifer asked for the scoop on how the two met.

“I did a video for him for one of his artists…we just met then, but nothing happened. Then, we met a few months ago to discuss some business, and then it’s been like…” she expressed.

Of course, Jen tried to play it cool, but you can tell she’s all in too. Considering the hardship that Jennifer endured during her marriage to retired NBA player, Eric Williams, it is great to see her happy in a new relationship. Hopefully she and Eric will finalize their seemingly never-ending divorce soon so that she can completely move on with her life.

We are so happy for Jen and we’re definitely rooting for her and Cisco.

After a few extremely drama filled months, there’s finally some positive news to report on Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada. Yesterday it was announced that the he 36-year-old reality star has a new job and guess what? It doesn’t involve throwing drinks, slapping folks, bullying or running across dinner tables! Instead, she has been named as Latina Magazine‘s new celebrity fitness blogger.

According to Latina.com, starting next Wednesday the fiery and undeniably physically fit star will be blogging exclusively for Latina in a segment entitled ”Latina Fitness with Evelyn Lozada.” During the segment she will be revealing her favorite fitness routines as well as providing tips and information on healthy dieting and her personal diet. Ev took to her Twitter account yesterday to express her excitement and share the good news with her followers. She wrote:

I’m thrilled and super excited to be the new Fitness blogger for @Latina!

I don’t know about you guys but I certainly wouldn’t mind getting fitness and dieting tips from Ev considering the fact that her body is just about always on point. This could be the beginning of something great for her and I could definitely see how her exploring a new arena such as this one could assist in helping her to part ways with the negative stigma that she has somewhat earned over the years. She seems to be moving in a more positive direction….but then again we haven’t seen footage from episode 5 of BBWs yet so that’s still up for debate. Who knows though, maybe one day she and Jen can team up and do something together in the fitness arena considering Jen’s partial ownership in the extremely successful Flirty Girl Fitness franchise. I know I’m probably reaching, but I really would love to see these two back together.

As a genealogy buff, I’m fascinated by the composite of different races within blacks of African descent. Apparently, I’m not alone. Some of us love to let others know that we are more than just black. This almost goes hand in hand with people that love to tell others that their curls aren’t as tight as the rest of ours because they claim to be mixed with something. Yeah, whatever. But there is something to be said about being proud of one’s origin. Knowing where we came from is an integral part of knowing who we are. Unfortunately, many of us don’t know our genetic makeup due to lack of historically relevant data, money (for genealogical testing), or interest in knowing our backgrounds. Maybe if more of us did, we too could be like these nine celebs that are proud (some maybe too proud at times) of their diverse lineage.

It would make my heart so warm and fuzzy if 40-year-old Eric Williams would just grow the eff up already. It’s not like I wasn’t already done with him after he pulled the ultimate sucker move throwing a drink on Jen at the end of season 3 of “Basketball Wives,” and I was double done with him when he thought Chad and Evelyn’s domestic altercation was a time to take low-blow shots at Ev, but every time this clown gets on Twitter I’m reminded of why one should have to make a pledge of non-stupidity just to have an account.

For some reason, he thought a Twitter mention was the correct way to get Jen’s attention so they can proceed with the longest divorce in reality TV history ever. If you have no clue how much of a bad idea that is, check out the back-and-forth that the YBF caught.

Can we pause for a minute at the knot emoticon this fool came up with?

Every time Eric opens his mouth, whether in person or online, I have to question Jennifer’s motive for marrying this man. It’s hard to believe he has, or ever had, any redeeming quality beyond his money because his immaturity level is startling. I don’t think I’ve ever wanted two people who I don’t actually know to finally be able to say they’re divorced more than these two.
