Whether you like “Basketball Wives LA” rookie Brooke Bailey or not, two things that are difficult to deny after watching her on this season of the show is that she has a banging body and a gorgeous mane. Interesting enough, two of the assets that Brooke is most known for have been the topic of many conversations, as many have speculated that her hair is enhanced by weave and that she’s had work done to her body. In an interview with Vibe Vixen the 35-year-old video model finally addressed those speculations, and frankly, shut them down.

On whether or not she wears weaves

 ”My hair has always been naturally long. Currently it touches my back bra strap. On the show, my hairstylist has added pieces for my side ponytail or braided looks, but I keep it natural otherwise.”

On if she has breast implants

“I have had a breast augmentation. That’s it. I was a D cup before my breast augmentation, and after I had my first 2 children, I decided to restore my breasts match my youthful body.”

Im not sure if her statements will silence skeptics as many feel that his photo suggests she’s had more done than she’s letting on, but truthfully a breast augmentation is just a modest way of saying breast implants. To each his own though (or in this case her own), right? It doesn’t seem like Brooke would outright lie about having work done to her body considering she’s always had a pretty “live and let live” attitude about women having work done to their bodies. going under the knife. She told the site: ”I’m all for plastic surgery. What’s good for the next girl might not be good for me. I don’t feel like that means that you’re insecure because you want to improve your beauty.”

Whether she’s had major work done to her body or not, Brooke looks pretty amazing for her age. Who knew she was 35?!

Plastic surgery and Hollywood celebrities seem to go hand in hand. With the endless amount of money that celebrities have and the endless amount of plastic surgeons looking to do their job, it’s no surprise that black celebs too have gone under the knife for enhancements and changes. Here are 14 black celebs who have clearly had plastic surgery.

Nicki Minaj has definitely had a few body parts enhanced and upgraded with the help of breast implants, butt injections, a nose job, and probably more.

There are perks to having a plastic surgeon in your family, but having your father give you breast implants at 18 is just creepy.

During 20/20′s “Cutting Edge” special tonight,  Barbara Walters will interview Dr. Michael Niccole, founder of the CosmetiCare Plastic Surgery Center in Newport Beach, CA, who gave his daughter Brittani, now 23, breast implants when she was 18. He also performed a rhinoplasty on her and when his other daughter Charm, now also 23, was just 10 he turned her “outtie” belly button into an “innie.”

Dr. Niccole, who performed surgery on other family members as well said he was the most qualified to take care of the procedures on his adopted daughters: “Who would give them the time — that extra little look during surgery more than I would?” he said.

In addition to the breast agumentation which Brittani wanted to increase her self esteem, Dr. Niccole gives the girls regular botox injections which he considers simple “maintenance.”

“I’m not changing their looks in any means. They want maintenance,” he said. “They don’t want to get old. They want to stay young.”

If anyone can make that happen, it would be him.

Check out the preview of the special which airs on ABC at 10pm tonight. “Cutting Edge” is also expected to address the age-old saying “black don’t crack”—that should be interesting.

By and large, it seems positive self-esteem is no match for the narrow-minded ideals of beauty unleashed on the American psyche 24-7. Especially with so many black celebrities going under the knife routinely. Most of these women were attractive, talented prior to plastic surgery, which suggests that the operations aren’t necessarily to become more beautiful, but more, “other.” Of course, when you’ve got the money and the excuse that everyone else is doing it, a nip here, or tuck there, hardly seems out of the question.
