Remember comedian Jerry Lewis? The one who used to do all of the telethons for muscular dystrophy? He passed away in August at the age of 91 and the details of his will recently came out. In it, according to PEOPLE, he leaves his fortune to his widow, and second in line to all of that is his adopted daughter (also his manager), who is 25.

However, Lewis made sure he left a few lines in his will, drafted in 2012, that made it clear he was leaving nothing to the six (SIX!) children he had with his first wife, whom he was married to for 36 years, or the grandchildren that may have come from those kids.

“I have intentionally excluded Gary Lewis, Ronald Lewis, Anthony Joseph Lewis, Christopher Joseph Lewis, Scott Anthony Lewis, and Joseph Christopher Lewis and their descendants as beneficiaries of my estate, it being my intention that they shall receive no benefits hereunder,” the comedic legend wrote.

To make matters all the more petty, he included that he was leaving out son Joseph, who actually died of a drug overdose years before in 2009. The “kids” may all be fully grown and what not, but that’s still cold blooded.

But Lewis isn’t/wasn’t the only celebrity who clearly didn’t have the best relationship with their kids. Check out nine others who have had it out with their offspring in public to bad and sometimes good results.

50 Cent

After falling out in 2015, 50 Cent and his first child, son Marquise, still haven’t been able to mend things after 50’s issues with the child’s mother, Shaniqua Tompkins, created a deep divide. In June he said about his son on Instagram, when quizzed about that relationship by a follower, “Can you imagine having a kid that has been poisoned by his mothers [sic] entitlement?” he said of the 19-year-old. “That has no respect for you, when you have offered him everything he has. He would rather be a friend to my enemies then [sic] me.”

If you’re wondering why the rapper and his son can’t work things out, it seems that the parent, the true adult in the situation, isn’t interested at this point.

“I wish him well, he was my heart,” he said. “I don’t have one anymore, I pray he as a man can see the mistakes that were [made].”

Jackie Christie

The Basketball Wives star was under a lot of scrutiny this past season after nearly everyone in the cast, and on the Internet, dragged her over accusations by daughter Takari that she was a bad mother. We’d heard things in the past from Jackie Christie’s other daughter, Chantel, who appeared on an early season of the show and said her mother treated Takari poorly. However, things were put on blast after Takari’s son was badly burned and she asked for help from the public, not her well off mother, to help with the child’s medical bills. When Evelyn Lozada chipped in, it created division between the Basketball Wives cast, and interest in Takari’s story. She’s set to release a tell-all book about her upbringing, which makes note of mean comments made to Takari, allegedly by Jackie, about her weight, her darker complexion, and more.

The rapper had some words for his son, Tremaine, when he seemed to imply that the former Pimp My Ride host was a deadbeat dad. And by words, I mean he went pretty far:

Kendu Isaacs

Growing Up Hip Hop star Brianna Isaacs, daughter of Kendu Isaacs, said on the show that if it weren’t for Mary J. Blige, her father and her family wouldn’t have had much. She kept it 100 and said that her former stepmother upgraded their life, and before Kendu married the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul, “I ate Kraft singles and drank Kool-Aid.” There’s nothing wrong with that, but we get what she’s trying to say.

Brianna also made it clear on the latest season of the show that she doesn’t have the best relationship with her father and that Blige made her feel like less of an outcast in her family. That’s probably why she was identified on the series as Mary J. Blige’s stepdaughter, not Isaac’s daughter.

Mathew Knowles

Beyoncé tends to be more forgiving of her father’s foolishness, which includes spilling the tea on his daughter’s lives, doing interviews where he shares less than flattering information about them, and of course, having children with whomever, whenever. But for some time, Solange seemed less than down for the shenanigans. When sharing pictures of herself with her sister on Instagram after that whole elevator controversy, Mathew was cut out of the images. And speaking of being cut out, he wasn’t at her wedding (and you know he had nothing better to do that would have explained his absence…) and neither Solo or Bey were at his wedding to wife Gena Charmaine Avery in 2013. But these days, everyone seems to be on better terms (even if he still talks way too much).

Nicole Kidman

When Nicole Kidman won an Emmy for her work on Big Little Lies recently, people couldn’t help but notice that she only shouted out the two daughters she has from her marriage to husband Keith Urban. As for the two children she adopted with first husband Tom Cruise, Isabella, 24 and Connor, 22, it seems that her strained relationship with them has to do with Scientology and the fact that Kidman didn’t practice it. They lived with Cruise after the couple split.

According to Vogue, actress Leah Remini, who was a Scientologist and has been speaking out about what she saw for the many years she was involved with it, the kids didn’t want much to do with her. In her book, Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology, Remini allegedly asked Isabella after Cruise’s wedding to Katie Holmes in 2006 if she’d seen her mom in some time. Isabella allegedly replied that her mom was an “SP,” which is a “suppressive person” in Scientology jargon — one who doesn’t support or practice that faith and you must cut contact with.

We all watched that episode of Iyanla: Fix My Life when a troubled DMX came face to face with his eldest son Xavier, who hadn’t spoken to him in a year and a half. Things went terribly when Xavier tried to open up about how he felt about his father, the women he brought him around, the drugs and their broken relationship to the rapper:

Courtney Love

The rocker and her daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of late rocker Kurt Cobain, have had quite the complex relationship over the years. Frances legally emancipated herself from her mom in 2009, to which Love opened up about in a note on Facebook that wasn’t too pleasant.

“[Frances] thinks she has all this money, [but] the point is I have all the money she has … I don’t care really, I hate to sound cold, but any kid of mine who pulls this sh– has lost her position,” she wrote.

But after bumping heads for years, Frances and her mother were able to mend their relationship when she executive produced an HBO documentary, The Montage of Heck, about her late father. Since then, they’ve become quite close, even escorting one another to the Met Gala in May.

Alec Baldwin

It’s never a good look when voicemails of you calling your child a “pig” and dissing your ex-wife are released to the public. To be specific, Alec Baldwin called daughter Ireland Baldwin, from his marriage to actress Kim Basinger, a “rude, thoughtless, little pig.” While she was able to roast her father about it during his One Night Only special on Spike TV earlier this year, a few months before that event, he claimed that his statements were still impacting his relationship with his daughter.

“It’s a scab that never heals cause it’s being picked at all the time by other people,” he said while visiting Good Morning America. “My daughter, that’s hurt her in a permanent way.”

Stevie J

Things got so bad when Stevie J was feuding with his son Dorian that D actually put out a diss track about his father:

All of this stemmed from Dorian claiming Stevie was absent in his life while he was out in the world making hits for Bad Boy artists and more. Stevie, in turn, claimed his son had stolen from him.

The father and son were finally able to sit down and talk things out during the last season of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta.
