Nick and Mariah’s Double Take
Nick Cannon gave Mariah Carey Two romantic proposals in 2008.
The first was during the release party for “E=MC2.” The Empire State Building was lit in lavender and pink in her honor and Nick took Mariah to the roof of her Manhattan apartment building for a good view of it then got on one knee and proposed — with a 17-carat diamond.
But Nick knew that Mariah’s biggest fantasy was to be “kidnapped” by the man of her dreams. So with the first proposal over, Nick surprised Mariah by kidnapping her and taking her on a helicopter ride and proposing for the second time.
