What Went Wrong? Supergroups That Could Have Been Awesome, But Were A Bust

Don Cornelius was truly onto something when he decided to create Soul Train “spin-off” group,  Shalamar. The project that was originally meant as a disco-driven vehicle went on to become a hit R&B group that included super talented Soul Train dancers Jody Watley and Jeffrey Daniel and introduced the world to Howard Hewett. The group topped the charts with hits like “A Night to Remember,” “This Is For The Lover In You” and “I Can Make You Feel Good.” But the original members started to file out of the group one-by-one and were eventually replaced with members we just couldn’t get with.
