What Went Wrong? Supergroups That Could Have Been Awesome, But Were A Bust

When Tyrese, Ginuwine and Tank announced that they would come together and form a supergroup, we weren’t sure what to expect. However, after releasing an official remix to Tank’s “Please Don’t Go,” TGT proved that they were an R&B force to be reckoned with. Despite being together for almost six years, due to individual scheduling issues and label conflicts, the group didn’t release their first album until 2013. In 2014, the group was nominated for The Best R&B Album Grammy, as well as BET’s Best Group. And while they sound good, they aren’t as solid as they should be and have put on some…”interesting” performances (I’m looking at you Ginuwine). The men have slowly but surely gone back to focusing on their own projects.
