Kirk Cameron didn’t get fired from a show but his new beliefs got someone else canned from a television gig. He became a teen heartthrob while starring on “Growing Pains” but as the show progressed, so did his views on religion. Cameron found God and was soon complaining to the writers that the scripts were against his religious beliefs. He also turned on his onscreen girlfriend Julie McCullough and had her fired from the show because she once posed nude for “Playboy” magazine.
