Last week was filled with all kinds of drama for Angie Stone. Reports surfaced that her longtime boyfriend, Ashanti Grave, was kicked to the curb for possibly cheating with an R&B Divas staff member, and during the reunion show that aired, Stone was seen storming off set after being hit with some tough questions about her relationship from Wendy Williams. Not to mention that a source told us that Stone and the staff member she’s accusing of messing around with Grave had bad blood for a while now, and almost even came to blows. Well, it now seems that all that drama has made Stone reconsider her time on R&B Divas Atlanta. In an interview with Rumor Fix, her PR rep, Kali Bowyer, said that she was walking away from the program because of how unprofessional things have been:

“[Angie Stone] walked away from the reality TV show R&B Divas: Atlanta due to the lack of professionalism on behalf of production crew and she did not want to associate herself with that type of behavior and tricks of the trade. She was to be the voice of reason brought on under false pretenses and after speaking and consulting with pastor and church, it was not something she choose to allow in her life.”

Stone has been in this business for some 30 plus years, and will not allow anyone to attempt to tarnish her career or reputation, bottom line!”

As for all the rumors about her relationship, Stone told Rumor Fix that it’s basically no one’s business: “My personal relationships with –first my God — and any man is a private and respectful institution and will not be drug through the mud.”

But Bowyer didn’t hold back her tongue, saying that it was indeed the deeds of a staff member that turned Stone all the way off, as “pursuing a man who is in a committed relationship is disturbing on a multitude of levels.” It has been confirmed from our report that Stone has removed Grave as her manager, and is now working with Waka Flocka’s mom, Deb Antney.

We got in touch with Phil Thornton, executive producer of R&B Divas Atlanta, and he confirmed that Stone will no longer take part in the program.

“We had 2 great seasons of R&B Divas: Atlanta with Angie Stone. All good things must come to an end. I truly wish her the best with her future endeavors. God Bless.”

But as for her other claims of of unprofessionalism and being mislead about her role on the show, Thornton says that’s not true at all.

“Totally false. If things were that bad, Angie would have quit after her first season on show.

I was the person who initially met with Angie about joining the show. We (production) always viewed Angie as the matriarch/big sister in the cast, that never changed. We have nothing but love and respect for Angie Stone.”

Sadly, the feeling doesn’t seem mutual. With all that said, will you miss Stone on the program? Why or why not?
