Speaking of poets, after graduating from Fisk University in 1968, Nikki Giovanni attended both UPenn and Columbia University. While she didn’t graduate, Giovanni was most recently asked to speak at the School of Social Policy and Practice’s graduation at the University of Pennsylvania earlier this month.
