From some of his movies, it’s evident that when he’s in character, Nicholas Cage has some pretty awesome super powers. However, despite the similarity between him and a picture of a soldier from the Civil War era, he is not in fact a member of the service. Nicholas has even admitted that the picture looks like him, stating that this man looks like a “slowed down version of him.”
