Monsieur Vandross, may his soul rest in peace, delivered the highest of highs when it came to music, so we can only imagine what being his friend must have felt like. This loving, singing, man remained good friends with his cherie, Patti LaBelle for years – as they sang duet after duet. Though Vandross’ sexuality was never openly confirmed, it was widely understood in the African-American community that he was gay. We loved these man who supposedly liked men, and was liked by our girl, LaBelle.
