The most fab black female writer on the planet (okay, maybe in primetime television), Shonda Rhimes, received dramatic attention when actor Isaiah Washington called T.R. Knight a gay slur on the backstage set of Rhimes’ show, ‘Grey’s Anatomy.’ Knight’s “best friend,” Katherine Heigl came to Knight’s defense. Subsequently, Knight came out of the closet. The whole scenario was a festival of slop, and quite frankly, we’ve been missing Washington’s presence on the show ever since! We just wish he hadn’t used those slurs. But…anyway, at least Heigl and Knight are still besties…or something. * side eye *
