The below are small retreats that take place at private residences or remote, boutique properties rather than at hotel-style properties. They only accept small groups of guests at a time. This allows for a high staff-to-visitor ratio and plenty of face time with healing experts.

Those seeking quietude and spiritual rejuvenation should consider this retreat. Guests stay in charming treehouse villas with ocean and jungle views and participate in two yoga sessions per day, as well as attend holistic wellness workshops. The stay includes a massage, a sound bath and a Cacao ceremony. According to their website, “This program offers deep transformation for those on a path of healing, rejuvenation, clarity and empowerment.” On their first day at the retreat, guests set an intention. This will include releasing things that no longer serve them. From there, each day of the program builds on the previous one.

The healing experts guide visitors through experiences that lead to “discovering the highest next steps and path.” These experiences include yoga, breath work, hammock yoga, sound healing and fire circles. Guests dine on a gourmet plant-based diet, and all of this takes place in a lovely Bohemian-style temple sanctuary, set against the backdrop of the subtropical nature of northern Maui.
