Did Molly want Issa to fail?
I understand Molly thinks she’s enforcing boundaries, trying to build one relationship at the expense of another. What I can’t understand is what she wanted Issa to do in this situation. Did she want her to avoid Andrew all together and not get the headliner for her event after months of work—just because she didn’t want to step on Molly’s toes?
I don’t think we can discuss Molly’s extraness without examining her motivations as a friend and whether or not she has Issa’s best interests at heart. Is their friendship based on the fact that Molly has always considered herself superior to Issa in one way or another? Molly needs to run back to her therapist with those questions.
