Was This Really A Reason To Trip?
Now to the meat of the episode. At the end of a very successful Block Party, Molly learns that Issa did utilize Andrew’s help in procuring the headliner, Vince Staples. And that’s when all hell broke loose. If you’ve been paying attention, you’ll realize that there were a million little things that caused this moment. Molly and Issa haven’t been communicating properly in months. Every time Molly is ready to extend an olive branch, Issa doesn’t see it and hasn’t reciprocated.
Honestly, this is the first time Issa’s work has meant something to her and she’s focused. In the little time we’ve known the character Issa that has never been the case. And so this is a new dynamic in Issa and Molly’s friendship. They’re both adjusting terribly.
