Membership is based on giving
After moving to a new city, I expressed interest in joining a local church. I was told that someone would follow up with me. Months went by, and I never heard from anyone so I eventually found another church to attend. Almost a year later, I received a threatening letter stating that I would be removed from the previous church’s roster due to unpaid tithes. Not only did they fail to follow up with me, but they were also threatening to cancel my nonexistent membership over money. Toxic.
