When it comes to Cardi B. there are a few things she doesn’t mess around with; her coin, her baby, her husband, and her nails! For as long as she’s been famous, she’s maintained long, extraordinary nails and she put them and their super powers on display in her new “Sport the Unexpected” Reebok commercial.
In the commercial, Cardi sits in a hair salon discussing her relationship woes with the lady next to her. Mid-sentence, she looks down to notice her Reeboks are untied. As everyone else in the salon looks on, Cardi’s nails grow to the ground to tie her sneakers. Once her shoes are tied, her nails return to their regular length as she says, “nailed it,” and continues on with her conversation.
When it comes to her nail game, Cardi always nails it. Part of the rapper’s fashionable image are her perfectly manicured acrylic tips. Even after the birth of her daughter, she headed to the nail salon to get her claws polished. “I feel like crying 😩I’m so happy i got my nails fleeked out again!” Cardi wrote on IG. “I missed you so much @nailson7th@jennys_spa_bx !!! Thank you for doing my nails !!”
Not only does Reebok’s commercial capture Cardi’s personality and style, it’s authentic (hello Dominican beauty salon), just like her. In the business world, they call that a genius marketing plan. The C 85 Vintage sneakers Cardi rocked in the ad are currently available on Reebok’s website for $75. You can also get the “Nailed It” tee she wore for $35 along with a few other design options for the same price.
