Angela Simmons Says “Real Bodies Matter,” Proudly Showcases Curves And Cellulite In Bikini Snap
While hanging out in South Beach, Miami over the weekend, Angela Simmons did what only seems right while parlaying in South Florida — she put on a bikini and enjoyed the sun and sand. While doing so, the 30-year-old mom made sure to represent for natural curves. “Real bodies matter !!” the Growing Up Hip-Hop star wrote in a caption of herself posing in her swimsuit. “no photo shop !!! Cellulite to prove it.”
By doing so and sharing the head-turning pictures of her self in a teeny bikini, Simmons ended up getting a lot of attention on social media for her au naturel form:
If you follow Simmons on social media, then you probably already know that she doesn’t play around when it comes to her fitness regimen. “I love working out,” Simmons told Vibe last summer. “Working out is an escape from everything else I have going on. So, it’s an important part of my day for me.”
She has multiple trainers she works with and isn’t afraid to put in some work by herself as well. And when it comes to modalities, she’s open to switching it up — jogging, spinning, boxing, strength training, yoga and more.
But the end goal for Simmons with all of her hard work in the gym is the same — to build up and embrace her natural body, hence the hashtag she uses for her workouts: #builtnotbought. Last summer she started pushing such a message after watching her body change following the birth of her son, Sutton.
“The past year of my life I have watched my body go up and down in weight,” she wrote on Instagram. “I gained in different areas…it’s such a different battle after child bearing. Weight doesn’t drop as quick . It takes true dedication and strength to lose it!!!! So instead of any quick results of any work…I have challenged myself to stay true to myself and learn to love every piece of myself…and to me that takes daily strength!”
The effort definitely seems to be paying off.
