Pass Or Play? Chris Brown Featuring Aaliyah, ‘Don’t Think They Know’
What happens when you mix Chris Brown with Aaliyah and Jon B.? You get the song “Don’t Think They Know.” The track is the latest single from Breezy’s upcoming album, “X,” and posthumously features R&B singer Aaliyah, while sampling Jon B.’s “They Don’t Know.”
The video may be more interesting than the mid-tempo track which is a good song, but not quite exciting enough to make you anticipate the release of “X” on July 16. The singers use of colors in the music video and the cameos by Aaliyah however, make this a clip worth watching. Check out the video and tell us what you think. Would you give this song a pass or play?
‘Starter Wives’ Zakia On Rapper Maino Being A Good Dad Even Though He Wrote A Song About Ways To Kill Her
Zakia Baum is one of the stars of the new TLC reality show, “Starter Wives,” and if you saw the first episode Tuesday night, you’d know she’s a bit…eccentric, shall we say. We chatted with her at the premiere for the new show last week and had to see just how changed the born-again “Christian Woman” is from her days of trying to fight some of her cast members. We also had to know the status of her relationship with her ex and father of her child, Maino, after he dropped a rather disturbing song detailing ways he wanted to kill her. Check out what she had to say.

Get ready for what is sure to be the gay male anthem of 2013 — if they can even stomach this track that Kenya Moore is set to release under the auspices of Bravo TV and headmaster Andy Cohen.
I’m sure no one can forget Kenya’s infamous Gone With The Fabulous statement and accompanying choreography of spin moves and snaps when she got into it with Porsha Stewart in Anguilla. I had hoped that wouldn’t go much further than a trending topic on Twitter that night, but we already told you the news over the holidays that Kenya was coming out with a line of t-shirts that had her notable quotable on there. But now the money-making scheme has trampled into, unfortunately, foreseen, territory with the creation of a “Gone With The Wind Fabulous” Track. Yup, Kenya is following in the steps of her RHOA forefathers like Kim Zolciak and Sheree Whitfield, with “Gone With The Wind Fabulous,” coming to an iTunes store near your computer.
Curious about the lyrics? There’s only about 5.
You say I’m crazy.
I say I’m fabulous
I’m gone with the wing fabulous
Now twirl, twirl, twirl, twirl
If you close your eyes for a while and block out the horrible vocals, you’d think this was 1979 inside Studio 54 with the techno beat Bravo threw on this song. But like I said, I will not be surprised if this track at least pops up on an episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” in the future. Andy Cohen knows what he’s doing.
Check out the video below where he practically falls all over himself with excitement releasing a snippet of the track on “Watch What Happens Live”. Who plans on downloading??

Video: Rihanna Pop Lock and Drops It in Visuals for “Where Have You Been”

Source: thisgoesin.com
Yesterday, the Bajan pop princess debuted her video for the song “Where Have You Been” after weeks of leaking behind the scene footage. In the exclusive footage, we watched her prepare by making scandalous sassy wardrobe choices (pasties or no pasties?), going through choreography and more, but now we have the final product of all that.
The video is very trippy and psychedelic at times. Rih starts it all by climbing out of a dark lagoon (dressed to a minimum of course) like a sea creature coming out of hiding. After that, she is seen in a variety of places, and we see the most dancing I think this girl has done on-screen…ever. And yeah, she does kind of kill it. She switches up the hair and the sets behind her drastically change with each verse, and the visuals are indeed enchanting, but sometimes they get a little dull. But she looks cute, and that’s all that matters, right? No? Whatever.
Check out the video below and let us know if you’re feeling it.
Thoughts? Are you a fan of the track?

Brian McKnight’s Explicit New Song: Why Can’t An Artist Freely Change Their Sound?

Source: globalgrind.com
Yesterday morning, I was on WorldStarHipHop watching all the craziness and depraved indifference to decency that only WSHH could offer when I came upon a video of Brian McKnight singing his forthcoming song.
According to McKnight, one day he was on Twitter – the place where all bad ideas come from – when he got a (bad) idea to do an “adult” mixtape. He asked Twitter what they wanted him to sing about and the responses mostly centered on the same stale ballads he’s been singing for most of his career. Not heeding to their advice, McKnight went out and stepped on a ledge – a rather long ledge – and wrote a new song called “If You’re Ready to Learn.” He was so excited about it that he wanted to share parts of it with the blogosphere. Hmm, sounds interesting. And so it was.
If you haven’t already seen the video through our site, the chorus went: “Let me show you how your p***y works / Betcha didn’t know that it could squirt / I have lots of things to show you / If you’re ready to learn.”
Oh Got-damn Brian McKnight! Are you that desperate for a comeback? He went from howling his way through songs like “One Last Cry” to crooning about female ejaculation squirts. But I can’t lie, the song arrangement is dope. As one of my Facebook friends said, it sounds like it should be a Lil’ Wayne song, and she’s exactly right. All the raunchiness of a hip-hop song but with a better melody. It’s a song that would even make Prince and R. Kelly blush. After getting over the initial “What the Hell Brian”-ness of the track, after a few more listens, I found myself swaying from side to side, humming the lyrics to the song all day at work. Damn you Brian McKnight with your sultry voice and catchy tune.
But not everyone was ready to learn what McKnight was doing in between those times when he was crying over tracks. According to Gawker, “…the feedback on Twitter and YouTube was too much for McKnight, who eventually removed the song while lamenting his diminished status in the music industry….In its place, McKnight posted the innocuous “Live Without You” (“okay back to the safe love songs” reads its description).”
After pulling the track, McKnight tweeted: “It’s just sad that this is what I have to do get most of these people to even acknowledge me.” Damn, that is kind of sad. I’m actually ready to string a real life violin for him – to the tune of “If You’re Ready to Learn,” of course.
But seriously, McKnight’s dismal attempt at a comeback aside, his little stunt has also revealed the fate of what happens to artists, who no longer have a place in the finicky music industry. Old school crooners like McKnight, who made careers swooning the ladies and giving men a perfect background music to express their sentiments of real love and affection, have been replaced with young R&B singers. Their entire schtick involves ripping off shirts, half-rapping, half-heavy breathing into microphones about tawdry tales of butt buddies and one-night stands. Yes, the love songs are missing in today’s musical landscape. Most might blame the music industry, but truly, they only give us what we want to hear/settle for.

Yesterday we told you about Kanye West’s new track “Theraflu” and his professed love for Kim Kardashian, but while we were caught up in K+K’s love story, cold medicine company Theraflu and PETA had other things on the brain.
You know PETA doesn’t let any slight against animals go, so when Ye said in his new song, “Someone tell PETA my mink is dragging on the floor,” you better believe somebody told them, and they snapped back quickly—as always. PETA told the Wall Street Journal in a statement:
“What’s draggin’ on the floor is Kanye’s reputation as a man with no empathy for animals or human beings. He’s a great musician but doesn’t seem to have the fashion sense to design anything more than caveman costumes.”
That rep isn’t likely to get any better now that he’s hanging with fur-loving Kim, although that response is a lot more mild than what they said about Kanye and Amber Rose a few years back. They told the media the couple looked like “pathetic creatures from a shabby roadside zoo.” No wonder Ye said what he said.
PETA is likely the least of his concerns though, now that Theraflu has also said a few things about Kanye using their tradename for his song. In a statement, a rep told TMZ:
“We in no way endorse or approve of the references or use of the image and likeness of Theraflu in this manner.
“Theraflu is an over-the-counter product used to help relieve cold and flu symptoms that millions of consumers rely on.”
I doubt anyone has gotten the two confused, if anything this song might give their brand more notoriety, but in this day and age of lawsuit happiness I foresee legal action. I can already picture Kanye cutting off a judge in court saying, “Imma let you finish but…”

Blue Ivy Sets Billboard Record, Too Much?
Blue Ivy Carter is now officially the youngest person to appear on the Billboard charts after lending her vocals (crying) to her daddy’s new song, “Glory.” Baby Blue is credited as “B.I.C.” on the track which debuted on the R&B/Hip Hop songs chart at number 74 after it’s release Monday.
Interestingly, Blue Ivy dethroned Steve Wonder’s daughter Aisha. As a newborn, she appeared on Stevie’s classic, “Isn’t She Lovely,” but B.I.C knocked her out of the top spot for two reasons, according to Billboard: “Young Aisha was never officially credited on ‘Lovely’ and the song did not reach a Billboard chart until Jan. 29, 1977 (when it entered Adult Contemporary at its No. 23 peak), almost two years after she was born.”
At just a few hours old, I think it will be hard for any other baby to top this record, not that they should try. But is all this “fame” too much? I was a little surprised Jay Z released the song so soon considering the couple once prided itself on being top secret and non-attention seeking, but you know what they say, a baby changes everything.
What do you think about Blue Ivy Carter’s Billboard record?

You’d be lying if you said you didn’t blast Monica and Brandy’s hit song “The Boy is Mine” on a regular back in ’98. Some of you might even still be listening to it. Now 14 years later, the R&B ladies are back in the studio together to go at it again.
Monica and Brandy headed to Miami over the weekend to hook up with producer Rico Love in the studio and judging from their tweets, it sounds like they had a great session.
We have Both Been Blessed Beyond Measure..14years later.. #TURNTHELIGHTSON ❤Love @4everBrandy
and Brandy tweeted the response:
“@MonicaBrown: We have Both Been Blessed Beyond Measure.14years later Love @4everBrandy http://lockerz.com/s/172293088” I love you so much Mo❤thank u!
There’s no word on when the song will be released but since Brandy’s album is due out in May, there’s a good chance the track might be featured on there. Whenever it comes out, I’m sure this song will not disappoint.
How excited are you about a new Brandy-Monica collabo? P.S. Reminisce on the 90s magic below.
