Remember D’wayne Wiggins Of Tony! Toni! Toné!, Well He’s Getting A Divorce
It’s been a hot minute since we’ve seen D’Wayne Wiggins of the hit ’90s group Tony! Toni! Toné! and his wife is trying to make sure she’s dealt that same fate. According to TMZ, after 12 years of marriage she’s filing for divorce.
Michelle Lochin-Wiggins is reportedly citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce filing from her 50-year-old husband. She’s also seeking full legal and physical custody of the couple’s teenage boys who are 14 and 17. TMZ reports that she does at least plan to grant D’wayne visitation rights to the children.
So far there’s been no mention of pre-nups or speculation about how assets may be split between the couple, but D’wayne’s likely doing alright in the money department. Aside from the earnings of Tony! Toni! Toné!’s first go ’round, since 1998 D’Wayne’s continued to tour, performing the groups hits with the current lead singer Amar Khalil. And just before the group disbanded in 1996, he established Grass Roots Entertainment in his West Oakland recording studio, House of Music. In 1995, he developed and signed Destiny’s Child to the entertainment company, and we all know how they turned out. He’s also worked with Keyshia Cole and Alicia Keys, notably on her Billboard hit “Diary.”
Something tells me Michelle is going to want a bit of those earnings. Here’s hoping they can have an amicable split.
Another “Victory” For Deion Sanders: Court Grants Him Exclusive Rights Over Children
If things continue to go down this road, Pilar Sanders is in trouble.
Last Wednesday, A Dallas court ruled that while Deion Sanders and soon to be ex-wife Pilar will share custody of their three children in a week on/week off schedule, Deion is the only parent that will hold exclusive rights over the children. Well, at least until the final divorce trial, according to The Dallas Morning News.
What does this mean? Judge Ray Wheless decided that Deion will solely be allowed to make decisions about the kids’ primary residence, school(s) they attend and choose their athletic activities. Athletic activities? That sounds weird that they would eve be involved in the ruling. They’ll share all other decisions.
In December, a court granted Deion custody of their two sons, Shilo and Shedeur, while Pilar was granted custody of their daughter, Shelomi. She also had her child support reduced from $10,000 to $5,000.
Pilar has also maintained that she is a victim of Deion’s celebrity status and that his finances are doing all of the talking.
Their divorce trial should begin somewhere around March 4th.
In the meantime, Deion will have to pay legal for the amicus attorney who represents the interests of their children. Both he and Pilar will share the medical bills.
Wow, this is going to get a lot worse before it gets better. Based on reports, it seems like the adults may have forgotten about the most important thing: the kids (which explains why they had to bring in another attorney).
Do you think Pilar has a point in saying that Deion’s money is actually doing all the talking or has she presented herself in such a way that isn’t pleasing to the courts?
Denied! Judge Says Pilar Doesn’t Need $24K/Mo For Kids
Deion Sanders will have to pay child support to his estranged wife Pilar, but it won’t be the $24,000 a month that she requested. A Texas judge believes she needs less than half of that to raise the couple’s three children and ruled that Deion pay her $10,500 monthly.
Pilar argued that Deion has a net worth of $250,000,000 which made the former pro baller noticeably chuckle out loud in the courtroom, as if to say his wealth is nowhere near that number. Regardless, Pilar broke down exactly where she intended to spend some of his ends:
$2000 food/restaurants
$900 clothing
$450 personal care, haircuts
$500 school lunches
$750 child care
$500 cell phones
$1000 entertainment and events
$2000 children’s lessons
CBS may have only gotten a partial list, but since those items only add up to about $8,000 and seem to cover all of the kids “necessities,” I can see why that $24,000 number didn’t fly—although most divorcing spouses tend to get a lot more.
Deion testified that he only makes $1 million per year from his job as an analyst for the NFL Network, but his 2010 tax return showed his earnings were closer to $2 million. Beyond child support, Deion will also have to pay Pilar’s legal fees, which add up to $275,000. Ace Showbiz reports that he will also have to pay $3,500 a month for the mortgage of her new house in Celina.
More importantly, the couple has worked out a visitation schedule for the children, pending a full custody hearing down the line so hopefully there won’t be anymore late-night assaults.
Do you think Deion and Pilar got fair deals in this settlement?

Case Closed: Vanessa Bryant Gets $75 Mil and 3 Homes in Settlement
We knew Vanessa Bryant could get up to half of Kobe’s money when she filed for divorce from him in December, and according to reports that’s exactly what she got.
Vanessa is reportedly walking away with $75 million—half of Kobe’s worth— plus three homes (mansions) in the divorce settlement. The first home is the one which she, Kobe, and their two daughters lived in, the second is a house her mother currently resides in, and the third is a property that was just completed after a two-year construction. Initially, Kobe was said to be moving into the new place, but it seems he’s “homeless” at the moment.
Nothing appears to be settled yet regarding the children. Vanessa is said to have requested joint custody of their daughters Natalia and Gianna but she also asked that Kobe get visitation rights, suggesting she wants them in her care the majority of the time. From the looks of the property settlement, Kobe seems to be going down without a fight so I’m sure she’ll get her way with the kids as well. She can certainly afford to take good care of them.
What do you think about Vanessa’s clean sweep?

It’s been painfully obvious that Jennifer Lopez barely waited for the word divorce to leave Marc Anthony’s lips before she started dating again, and for the most part her soon-to-be-ex-hubby took her public displays of affection with Casper Smart on the chin, but the tables are starting to turn just a bit.
Last week, Marc Anthony posted photos of him loving up on Venezuelan model Shannon De Lima, and over the weekend they went “public” with their relationship by sending each other “look at me” tweets and retweeting congratulatory messages about their new relationship from followers. Meanwhile, J Lo was busy setting up a weekly $10,000 allowance transfer for her 24-year-old beau and back-up dancer so that he could feel like a man when they went out in public together.
Initially, both sides just seemed to be attempting to make the other jealous—which suggests they aren’t really over each other anyway—but now Marc has reportedly said J Lo needs to see a psychologist to figure out why she can’t stand to be without a man. It’s clear this divorce is about to get ugly—first comes psych eval, then comes full custody of the kids.
While bopping around town with their new lovers, neither J Lo nor Marc Anthony appears to have thought too much about their twins who are in the middle. Sure Jennifer took her children on vacation to Hawaii with Casper but that’s not exactly a good look. Most people wait a little while to expose their children to new father figures, and in some ways it’s just irresponsible to bring a bunch of side pieces around your kids. Yeah, mama has to have a life too, but mama also has to set a good example. Having uncle Casper’s and uncle Bradley’s rolling in and out of the house on rotation is not it.
And if Marc is about to play dirty, he should think about the repercussions of speaking too ill of his children’s mother. If you’ve already decided to split, there’s nothing else to say, go your separate ways and do it quietly. There’s never really any good way to get divorced but there’s definitely a better way than what these two are doing and I think it all started with J Lo’s dating. Separate, about to get a divorce, filing for the divorce, and anything similar means that you are still currently married and you should still carry yourself like a married woman. Marc Anthony could easily try to prove she’s an unfit mother and take the kids away from her, would that be worth her cougar rendezvous? I know being civil and actually waiting til things are final before you date again may not be the Hollywood way of doing divorce (or a lot of other American’s) but maybe they should try it. If they had, they wouldn’t be making a media spectacle of themselves and setting their children up to be right in the middle.
What do you think about the way J Lo and Marc Anthony are handling their divorce? Do you think they’re both just trying to make each other jealous? Are they both wrong for dating again so soon?

Tameka Raymond Tells UPTOWN: ‘I know I am a good mother’
The Tameka and Usher Raymond custody saga hasn’t painted either parent in a positive light, but say what you want about Tameka. She recently told UPTOWN magazine in an exclusive interview that she knows she’s a good mother.
According to Tameka, her and Usher’s custody issues started long before the recent media frenzy over her request that he take a drug test and filing for sole custody of their sons. In fact, Usher first filed for sole custody of their kids in January 2011, which Tameka says had to do with control and him wanting the kids to move around as he does.
“He is a man very accustomed to having his way. “This has nothing to do with how I parent. Trust me, I never will have a desire to keep a man away from his kids. I am not June Cleaver or head of the PTA, but I know I am a good mother.”
More than a good mother, Tameka says she’s also a good business woman and doesn’t take too kindly to claims that she is or was ever a gold digger. She currently operates two busnesses, Estella, a clothing and home-decor boutique in Roswell, GA, and KangaZoom, an indoor children’s play facility in Alpharetta that she opened at the beginning of last year.
“Usher and I met because I was one of the top stylists in the game. You don’t get to work with someone of his stature in music, especially back then, without being one of the best, and I still am hardworking.”
As a single mother of five, the 40-year-old says everything she does is about her boys: Darrin, 21; Ryan 12, and Kile, 10, (children with her first husband, music exec Ryan Glover); and Usher V, 4, and Naviyd, 3. Even though her journey hasn’t been perfect, she says she’s still blessed to have had the experiences she has.
“I never imagined some of these things to be obtainable. And my sons teach me the meaning of true, unbiased love.”
Check out the full article on UPTOWN. Do you think Tameka is truly only interested in looking out for her boys in this custody battle?
