As we told you when the Season 10 trailer was released, the ladies of the Real Housewives of Atlanta are back to shake things up. And it’s a season many will be looking forward to now that original cast members NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak (in a recurring role) will be present. Speaking of originals, we couldn’t help but notice the major changes in the series and in the cast over the years. We’re not just talking about the people and the drama, but even just the changes in the way everyone looks, the way they dress, the way they appear at reunions and more. We did some digging to see how everything and everyone has changed over the last 10 seasons, and it’s been pretty drastic. Check out the transformation of the RHOA cast from over the years as you prep for milestone Season 10, premiering November 5 on Bravo.
Remember when Lisa Wu and DeShawn Snow were a part of the cast? It was back when they all attended the reunion dressed in I’m-running-errands-after-this clothes.
DeShawn was out, and in her place was Kandi Burruss with that pixie cut and infamous duck beak flip hairstyle. By the second reunion, the ladies realized they needed to jazz things up.
Lisa Wu hit the road, and in her place came both Cynthia Bailey and Phaedra Parks. The fashions and use of color was more bold, and by the reunion, they stepped things up to after-work-we’re-getting-drinks attire.
Season 4 was the only time the show would have the same cast back to back. The ladies enjoyed side swoops, spandex and big earrings for much of the season, including in the reunion.
Ruched spandex stayed around for Season 5, but Sheree Whitfield didn’t (and at a certain point, Kim Zolciak left the series too). In her place came the very controversial beauty queen, Kenya Moore, and Porsha Williams. As you can see, Season 5 was the turning point for reunion fashion.
With Kim and Sheree gone, NeNe was queen bee, and she was the only one to get a new look for the cast photo. The ladies embraced a wide variety of dramatic fashions and materials for the Season 6 reunion (but the classy attire didn’t stop Porsha from dragging Kenya to the ground by her hair…in case you forgot).
By Season 7 they tried to experiment with the cast and bring in Demetria McKinney and Claudia Jordan. Unfortunately, they didn’t really add much (aside from black spandex in the cast photo, which for the third season in the row stayed relatively the same). For the reunion, the ladies gave us all-white everything, which you know Black people love.
By Season 8, NeNe stepped back to be a recurring character and in her place (and in the place of Demetria and Claudia as well), was Kim Fields. She didn’t last long either (she seemed a tad naive about what to expect from the ladies and the show), but she did look good, along with the rest of the cast, in natural colors at the reunion.
During the latest season, there weren’t major cast changes aside from the addition of Sheree Whitfield, so the cast photo remained the same. The reunion fashions, however, were bright and boobalicious.
