I don’t know why I never checked out any of the “Little Women” franchises before this past weekend. If I had, I would have been as engrossed as I am in the Atlanta spin-off, a long time ago.

In catching up on the past two seasons, I was fascinated to see the stories the characters create or go along with on the show, particularly Minnie’s fake relationship and not one but two fake pregnancies with rapper Pastor Troy. Yes, you read that correctly, Minnie, one of the characters on the show lied saying not only that she was dating Pastor Troy but that she was carrying his child. Eventually, she had to admit that it wasn’t true. She was not pregnant and the two were not dating.

And then in the very next season, she told her friends and the rest of the world for a second time that she was pregnant. As you know, lies about pregnancy don’t often work out all that well. Mostly because when there isn’t a baby in nine months, people tend to figure it out.

What made this second lie so much worse than the first was that, after some sincere doubts initially, her cast mates believed her. And even worse was the fact that as she was lying about miscarrying Emily was in the NICU with her son, fighting for his life. Sadly, it was a fight they lost. And another one of her cast members was pregnant also. Another one of her cast mates was pregnant as well, wondering if she would be able to carry her baby to term.

Basically, lying about a child is just not cool…at all.

And after hanging on to the lie for far too long, in the second episode of the third season, Minnie reveals that she wasn’t pregnant.

Check out the moment she told Miss Juicy Baby, the Queen of Atlanta, in the video clip below.
