Danielle Brooks Spent Her Labor Day Playing Mas At The West Indian Day Parade

September 7, 2016  |

Orange Is the New Black star Danielle Brooks made the most of her holiday weekend, hitting the West Indian Day Parade route on Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn with thousands of other people on Monday. The beauty played mas for the popular event, dressing up in a “Jungle Fever” ensemble put together by StronJeh Creations. She capped off the look with gold Nikes and strutted her stuff down the Parkway with her friends, and former Miss Jamaica Universe, Kaci Fennell Shirley. She performed on the float of the Sesame Flyers Mas Camp Band, which is the longest-running mas camp in New York City. Singer Justine Skye was also wukking up with Brooks at the parade, repping Jamaica.

Brooks took part in a parade that celebrates a long list of Caribbean countries, including Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica, Barbados, Haiti, Guyana, Grenada, Antigua, Bermuda, St. Lucia, Belize, Panama, Dominica and more. Check out images of Brooks and Skye having a ball at the event below:
