During the Golden Globes red carpet ceremony two years ago, the E! network published a pop-up “fun fact” about actor Michael J. Fox. The fact read: “Michael J. Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1991.” E! apologized for the unintentional insensitivity regarding Fox’s illness.
